VINTAGE TWIN BABY DOLLS, 2-3/4". COMPOSITION, FR. SILK, LINEN & LACE FINE COND

Oh, my goodness. These little twin babies are so pretty and sweet.  And in their own little original, handmade basket, too.
Their bed lining and blanket are of French silk. The color is a bit more of a light "pink coral" than I could show you in my photos.  The same silk you see in 1930s-40s French silk underwear.
These dolls have no marks apart from "Japan," which is incised on the upper back of each one. (Please refer to fourth photo from last.)
The twin babies' little feet and hands are in fine condition.
Their arms and legs articulate; the heads are fixed in place.
***There are no lines/cracks in any of the composition.***
The one doll does bear a TINY TINY shallow dot of missing surface on the upper right side of her face---about 3/8" above her right eyebrow. She also has an even smaller very shallow nick on her right cheek.
The other doll has a similar-sized nick on her right cheek. (Zoom in to see these flaws.)
I am not sure of the age on these twin babies.  I do know that they come from the collection of a woman who owned dolls made in the 1930s and 1940s.
The basket for these dolls is lined with French silk. The lining is all hand stitched, as is the blanket. I cannot verify if the lace edging on the blanket and the dolls' nighties is handmade, but it is definitely stitched on by hand.
Their tiny nightgowns are of fine linen, with dots of embroidery. Each nightie has an underlayer of linen.
The clothing and bedding have been kept wonderfully clean and nice. No tears/marks/stains.
The basket measures 6" long x 3.5" wide.
