vintage antique composite baby doll

Vintage antique composite baby doll. This doll was owned by a family friend who played with her as a child and kept her carefully wrapped up and in a chest for the rest of her life. It is one of 2 dolls that she left behind and is in exceptionally good shape for it's age: I can't find any flaws - I think that it's from the 40s. The eyes open and shut. The only marking that I found is a small 17 in the middle of her back. She has a matching bonnet and purse and her legs arms and head can all me moved in any direction and hold their position. I have no Idea who the maker is or her potential value, I would just like for her to be cared for and enjoyed by someone. there is also a pink knit sleeper with a hood and tassels that that go with her (not pictured).

I have been told that she is made by the Eugenia Doll Company and was pictured in the 1948 Montgomery Wards Christmas catalog.
Eugenia made a series of dolls called Personality Pla Mate dolls exclusively for Montgomery Wards. After searching the web
I have found several similar examples. But none quite as nice as this girl.
