Unmarked Composition 14” Doll in Original Romper.
This antique composition doll has a cloth stuffed body with a crying box in the torso that no longer cries. She has a Auburn mohair wig. Her face has all over crazing. She wears a thin cotton romper with pink and blue flowers. The romper has piping at the sleeves and legs. It is stitched shut in the back and can’t be removed unless the stitching is clipped. There is a tie that comes from the side seams and ties in the front over the tummy. She has on cotton knit stockings up to her thighs. Because of the type fabric, I feel this many be an original outfit… or at the least made during the same time period as the doll. The doll and clothing need clearing. She has been stored for years.
