    Description

Large conch shell from Tibet with Green Tara carving
An absolute rarity, you get exactly the piece shown! It is a bit older, approx. 25 years.
I bought this dreamlike conch shell from a Tibetan on my trip through Tibet in Giantse. The Tibetan conch horn is blown by the Tibetan monks at the start of a ceremony. In Buddhism, the shell symbolizes power and strength for what is new, it banishes evil.
If you have mastered it, the conch shell horn can of course be blown!
The beautiful conch shell was carved in a particularly artful and elaborate manner. The work is very detailed and very fine.
What is shown is: The Green Tare
She is the patron saint of Tibet and symbolizes the feminine principle and divine energy. According to Indian tradition, the Green Târâ is an embodiment of Mayan, the mother of the historical Buddha Shakyamunis. Their green color is said to be derived from Maya's dark skin color.
Her green body color shows that Tara of the five elements of the Buddha embodies the element of movement or wind and is thus able to act quickly and without delay. The green color also stands for the healing activity directed towards sentient beings, which is similar to what a mother does for her children.
The leg resting on the main lotus seat expresses that she lingers in meditation on the non-duality of appearances, the right foot resting on the separate little lotus throne indicates her constant readiness to work for the well-being of sentient beings. This position of the feet is a sign that Târâ is always ready to help descend to earth
    .
Since enlightenment ripens on the ground of healing activity, Târâ is also referred to as the "mother of all Buddhas of the past, present and future", which is shown figuratively by the fruit, flower and bud of the blue lotus. Tara has 21 main manifestations and is invoked by the sacred mantra Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha ". According to a spiritual view, this mantra is particularly protected, so it should only be recited with the express permission of a Buddhist scholar (Lama, Rinpoche). The recitation of this mantra is always done in the mind and not spoken aloud.
Just look at the photos of the dream piece ...
