JOANNE'S 24", vintage 1940s, Manikin over-size sewing advertising Mannequin doll

Wonderful  large1943   vintage, store display mannequin......….
Here is
an unusually
large, 24"
tall,
(early 1940s) composition type,
sewing
mannequin, from
"Joanne's Fashion Designing Set"
by
Latexture*
with painted blue eyes, eye shadow, lashes, closed mouth, molded and painted light brown hair, (
very 40's style
) jointed long arms and long molded straight legs with molded and painted black shoes with thick heels. This is one of the
nicest models in the McCall series designed to showcase their many versions and patterns.
She and
her sisters are described in detail
in
"Miniature Mannequins Identification and Price Guide"-Mixon.
Her arms are removable for ease in dressing and undressing. One arm is molded in  a somewhat straight position and the other slightly bent at the elbow. Designed
for instruction in sewing fashions during the 1940s era, she has no cracks, minimal crazing as shown and no chips or repairs.
She seems to have been used infrequently and will make an excellent addition or start to a collection. Our GIANT plastic
scissors
, tape measure, pincushion, thread spools, etc. are
not included.
