    Description

    Description:
    This is a fully operational, well-tested current-voltage measurement system. The main unit of this system is Keithley 236 SMU capable of I-V measurements using two- or four-probes measurement techniques. Different measurement modes are enabled: source voltage – measure current (Linear Staircase or Pulse) or source current – measure voltage (Linear Staircase or Pulse). Keithley 236 SMU is computer controlled via standalone I-V software (based on LabView12 Run Engine). Data acquisition performed using GPIB 488.2 interface installed on Dell Optiplex 7010 Computer. Sample/device can be mounted in provided HP16058 test fixture with 3 triaxial connections and standard BNC connectors. 10 interconnect cables for HP16058 text fixture are provided for signals routing. All cables required for data acquisition are included: (i) three Triax Pomona 3 Lug/Male, 5 feet long; (ii) one standard BNC/Male, 5 feet long; (iii) GPIB cable; (iv) all power cables. The system is set for 115V/60Hz. All electronics and computer are rack mounted. Manuals are included on a separate CD. All electronics to be removed from the rack for safe shipping. Feel free to contact for any questions.

    HP16058 Test Fixture:
    HP16058 Test Fixture is adopted for use with Keithley 236 SMU. The device under test (DUT) can be inserted into the socket board and wired as necessary using interconnect cables. This unit allows operation at extremely low current levels due to the triaxial type of wiring and suppressed noise as a result of proper shielding and grounding. 16058-60007 socket board (18-pin dual in-line socket) is provided. 10 cables with a miniature banana plug lead at one end and miniature gold coated pin at another end for signal routing and interconnect are furnished.

    I-V Software
    LabView based current-voltage measurements (I-V) software is installed on Windows 7 Pro operating system. The software is fully tested and optimized for present I-V system with Keithley 236 SMU. The software allows measurements of current-voltage characteristics using two probes or four probes. The following modes are enabled: pulse measurements (staircase type) or sweep measurements (staircase type) for both types of bias/sense modes: bias current – measure voltage or apply voltage – measure current. Data saving for further analysis is enabled. I-V software is installed as a self-executable application and uses LabView 2012 Run Engine. Only LabView 2012 Run Engine (free download) is provided and all necessary drivers to operate the I-V system as intended. NI MAX is installed. No LabView programming environment is offered. All data acquisitions are performed using IEEE-488.2 interface. Standard Keithley 236 SMU LabView drivers will be provided for further developments on a separate CD. Self-executable LabView based I-V application software comes with the computer and will be not offered as a separate installation CD. I-V software installation package can be purchased at any time after the warranty period expired by purchasing an additional license (installation security key will be provided with the software at the time of purchase of additional license).     Cables and Interconnects
    All power cables, GPIB cable, triaxial cables, BNC cable and interconnect cables for HP test fixture are provided to enable plug and play system function.
    Manuals and Software
    Operator Manuals for Keithley 236 SMU, HP16058 text fixture to be provided on a separate CD. Standard LabView drivers for  Keithley 236 SMU will be included on the CD. Computer system recovery with installed I-V software, LabView 2012 RunEngine, NI MAX and all required drivers is enabled as a separate SSD partition which allows complete system recovery in case of computer failure.
