This is a very pretty doll with all painted features on the composition head and a very nice cloth body. The Diamond Tile Co. mark on her neck is a diamond shape with "ENGLAND" written around the top two sides and a number, "2" and possibly a fraction. Documented at

dolls from the Diamond Tile Co. were produced in the 1940's. This doll is dressed in a lovely hand made outfit with a stitched tag in the dress that reads "BLM Handmade". The outfit includes:
A pink dress accented with ruffled-capped sleeves, bodice tucks, embroidered flowers, and ribbon.
A white ruffled slip.
A pink bonnet accented with scalloped ruffle and ribbon.
A pink trimmed diaper.
Soft vinyl booties with pink ribbon.
Doll stand not included.
